Thanks so much for picking up your custom gift at Hola Sunshine Designs this holiday season! I hope this crafting guide is helpful to you:
Skip Ahead:
Instructions:
Apply a thin layer of paint or ink to your child’s thumb or pointer finger. Firmly stamp their fingerprints onto the calendar, in the spaces provided on each page.
Let each page dry completely before moving on to the next month.
I like to slide a sheet of computer paper between each page of the calendar before turning to the next page- just in case there are any spots that aren’t completely dry yet.
Once we’re done adding fingerprints to each page, I slide all the paper out and wrap up our gift!

Recommendation #1: Ink Pad
Ink pads are the easiest way to stamp thumbprints on your calendar.
There’s hardly any mess, the washable ink will come right off with a wet wipe, and it dries quickly so you can continue adding fingerprints to the next page!
Make sure any ink pads you use are non-toxic. Here’s a great option from Amazon:
Ink Pads (15 Colors)
Recommendation #2: Paint
Using paint is a great idea if you want to mix the colors to get just the right shade!
All you need to do with this method is spread a very thin layer of paint on a paper plate and let your kids use it like they would an ink pad.
A word of caution: Crayola’s “finger Paint” set does not have great coverage.
Please make sure any paint you use for kids is also non-toxic. Below is my recommendation for kid-friendly paint that actually pops well on the page:
