My second most commonly asked question on Etsy lately has been, “Can you recommend a good frame for my handprint art?”
So, I spent a few HOURS scouring Amazon and reading reviews so that you don’t have to. 🙂
(YAY for easy shopping!)
Here are the BEST frames I’ve found for both 8×10” size and 8.5×11” size paper.
Side Note: 8.5×11” paper is also known as Letter Size. It’s just standard-size computer paper in the USA.
I include both an 8×10” and Letter Size handprint craft with almost every product to make it easier for you to print either at home or at any office supplies store/printing service!

8×10 Frames
For Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, in particular, framing your kids’ handprint crafts is a great way to make it an extra special keepsake!
I know Mom and Dad (and family!) will want to look back on these sweet little handprints or footprints for years to come and framing your gift is a great way to make it easy for them to put it on display.
The file labeled “8×10 Size” in your Etsy Downloads is specially sized for printing on 8×10 paper and framing in an 8×10 frame.
Below are some recommendations for white frames and natural wood frames.
White 8×10 Frames
You can’t go wrong with white! If this is a gift, white will easily match whatever decor of the home you’re gifting to!
Single
For this frame, you will need to remove the mat for your 8×10” print, so the handprint art will extend to the edges of the white frame.

Again, you will need to remove the mat from this frame to fit your 8×10” print.

Natural Wood 8×10 Frames
I’ve gotten a TON of questions about the natural wood frames in some of my photos.
People were having trouble finding a similar light grain online, so I’ve done the searching for you! Here are some quick links to the most beautiful 8×10” natural wood frames I could find on Amazon.

8.5×11” Frames (aka Document Frames)
If you’re like me, you prefer printing your handprint crafts at home. (I have my printer and cardstock ready to go for any special occasion where we’ll need a handmade gift!)
The file labeled “Letter Size” in your Etsy Downloads is specially sized for printing on 8.5×11” copy paper.
This makes it easier to print at home, but not as easy to find frames that will fit it. Well, I’ve rounded up my top picks for “document” frames that will fit the 8.5×11” dimensions of your cardstock paper.
Again, here are my recommendations for both white and natural wood frames.
White Letter Size Frames
Again, white is a great choice of document frame, no matter which handprint craft you’re making!
I’ve actually picked up a handful of white frames that I will be using to rotate my toddler’s seasonal art crafts!
(Of course, he already has a full collection of Santa handprints, Valentine handprints, Leprechaun handprints… one for each holiday and season!)

Natural Wood Letter Size Frames
I won’t lie, these were hard to find, but I love the simplicity of these light oak frames. They look SO pretty with the kids’ handmade artwork.
If you need to search for more of your own, try using the search terms “light oak, natural wood, raw pine,” or similar keywords. (I had the best luck with “light oak document frames!”)

These frames come in a variety of rustic colors too that could really make your handprint art POP, depending on which craft you’re making!
Set of 4
This frame is sized for 12×16 prints, but it comes with a mat that will fit around your 8.5×11” Letter print! I like the look of the white mat around the crafts!
Other Frames & Gift Add-Ons
Light Blue Rustic Frame
While I was falling into the Amazon rabbit hole, I came across this frame shop that I absolutely LOVE!
The Wood Side shop is full of handmade, natural wood frames that can either look rustic and weathered or have bright colors that peek through to the real wood underneath.
I had a lot of fun bouncing around their shop and this light blue frame immediately jumped out at me. This 8.5×11” frame is perfect for framing my most popular “I Love You To The Moon” print!
Quality Scrapbook Album
I’ve been adding my son’s handprint crafts to his Baby Book since he was born, so you can imagine that a few years later, it is now bursting at the seams.
I’m so glad I found this beautiful keepsake book that will store them all for me!
The pages in this large scrapbook album measure 12.8 inches long by 10.5 inches wide, so they should be a great fit whether you’ve been printing 8×10 or Letter size. (Or if you’re like me, you have a little of both!)
It also has 40 pages, which is great for holding all of the holiday and first-year milestone handprints!
Floating Frames
There’s just something so elegant about a floating frame! With these, you just need to place your handprint craft between two pieces of glass.
The glass measures 10.6 inches x 13.5 inches, so it fits both an 8×10” print and a Letter size print!
Shadow Boxes
If you’re planning a sentimental gift, this would be a fantastic gift add-on! Collect some photos and trinkets from trips or important moments with your child and display them in this beautiful way!
Well, that’s it! I hope this list of Amazon finds made your day a little easier. 🙂
